WEARE, NH — March 21, 2006 — Granite State Telephone announced today that it has added more long distance minutes and more savings to its line of SmartChoice packages. The bundles allow customers to conveniently consolidate such services as unlimited local calling, long distance, and high-speed Internet access on one Granite State Telephone bill.
Customers now have a choice of 500 or 1000 minutes of long distance calling. This is in addition to the 300 minute option that was already available. The company also reduced the price of its existing SmartChoice 300 minute packages. Previously starting at $59.00 per month, packages offering unlimited local calling, 300 long distance minutes, voicemail, four calling features and line protection now start as low as $53.50 per month. The toll rate has dropped as low as 7¢ per minute and customers have the opportunity to save up to $500 per year.
"We had a number of customers looking for larger blocks of calling minutes," explains Christian Rand, Director - Customer Care. "With our new SmartChoice long distance packages, customers have greater choice and value when choosing a package to meet their communication needs."
