Hillsboro, NH - January 26, 2006 - The Granite State Telephone Pioneer Club recently delivered over $500 worth of Christmas gifts to residents of Hillsboro House Nursing Home. Among the 60 plus items purchased from the residents' wish list were sweat suits, CD boom boxes, flannel shirts, house robes, cardigan sweaters, socks, cameras, stationary and candy.
The Granite State Pioneer Club is a philanthropic organization that was founded by the employees of Granite State Telephone in 1992 to serve the communities of southern New Hampshire. The Club is an active chapter of the Independent Telephone Pioneer Association, a national, non-profit widely known for its charity work and philanthropic support of a variety of associations. Over 40 Granite State Telephone employees are members of the Granite State Pioneer Club. The club organizes various volunteer events throughout the year and makes contributions to numerous charitable causes.
